When can I apply?
Applications for 2025 are open from April 1st to August 1st 2025.
Is there an application fee?
There is no application fee.
How do I apply?
Applications are available online at Submittable. Applications or supplemental materials sent by email will not be considered nor accepted.
Who is eligible?
FST StudioProjects Fund is open to professional visual artists who are 21 years old or older. The applicant cannot be a part-time or full-time student.
What type of studio is accepted?
The artist studio must be in New York City, including all five boroughs, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island.
The artist studio cannot be residential. Studios can be shared but the applicant’s name must be on the lease. No more than the percentage that the applicant is obligated to pay will be covered.
When will I be contacted?
You will receive an email that your application was submitted. Please do not reply to this message as it is sent automatically by Submittable.
When will I know if I am accepted or declined?
We review all applications thoroughly and usually make our decision in November. At that time, you will receive an email and a notice of acceptance or a notice that we are declining your application at this time. If you have any questions, you may contact us at info@fststudioprojectsfund.com
How many applicants get accepted?
The fund is highly competitive. We receive hundreds of applications each year and only 1 in 10 get accepted.
Do you provide feedback?
We do not provide feedback.
Can I re-apply?
Yes. We accept one application per applicant per year. If you are declined, you can still apply for the next application period. We welcome all former applicants.
